CHANGELOG 0.1.4.md — Notepad
Added
- New POSIX syscalls and wrappers for
fork, kill, raise, poll, select
and fcntl(F_GETFL/F_SETFL) with O_NONBLOCK support.
- An automated runner
.\build.ps1 smoke, which rebuilds, installs into
/disk/bin, boots QEMU headless and validates fork, basic signals, polling
and real persistence over SVFS2.
- A
busybox multicall userland to start replacing the stopgap utilities,
including echo, cat, ls, mkdir, rm, mv, cp, true, false and
sleep.
Changed
- The system reports itself as
v0.1.4 in the kernel, the shell, uname,
sysinfo and the components consuming the shared version.
- The system's base timer is now calibrated targeting
200 Hz instead of
100 Hz, slightly improving perceived mouse response and the practical
rounding of sleep_ms() for graphics and input loops.
- The internal ceilings go up for processes, descriptors, pipes, sockets, VFS
and
SVFS2, leaving more headroom for ports and a real userland.
SVFS2 can now mount /disk in a degraded read-only mode if recovery does not
leave the volume safe for RW, avoiding it going straight offline in the face
of recoverable failures.
- The main build also installs the internal binaries in
/disk/bin, so the shell
and the automated smoke exercise the same persistent copy of the userland.
